Civic Force Distributes 11,064 Hand Sanitizers to Partner Organizations

For disaster-affected and pandemic-hit regions

Followed by the in-kind donations received in April 2021, Civic Force received 11,064 hand sanitizers from a cosmetic company, L'Occitane, between June and September 2021.

The hand sanitizers were handed out to people affected by disasters, single-parent households, and aid groups through 12 partner organizations. Civic Force also distributed hand sanitizers to the municipality and evacuation centers during the heavy rain disasters in July and August. Exhausted and anxious from the evacuation, beneficiaries were delighted to receive L’Occitane’s sanitizers.

COVID-19 continues to spread across the country and the need for alcohol sanitizers persist.

“I like that this is portable. The sanitizer goes on my skin smoothly and it does not get sticky.” (Local resident in Iwate Prefecture)

“One year since the July heavy rain disaster, we are moving on little by little. We handed out hand sanitizers to our beneficiaries when we conducted surveys. They were very happy.” (Aid worker in Kumamoto Prefecture)

“We are using the sanitizers at community areas and work space. It is very helpful as we resume community activities.” (Local resident in Fukushima Prefecture)
