【Typhoon No.10】Emergency Team on Standby (UPDATE: 9/7 No Longer on Standby)

Powerful Typhoon No.10 (Haishen) is approaching Japan. It is expected to intensify today and reach Kyushu sometime between the night of September 6 to the morning of September 7. The typhoon is said to be one of the strongest typhoons and it will likely bring a record level of rain. Authorities in the concerned regions are urging the residents to exercise the utmost caution.
As a member of ARROWS, A-PAD Japan is on standby in case of a large-scale disaster to provide life-saving activities. In anticipation of the emergency combined with COVID-19, A-PAD Japan is implementing strict hygiene measures to prevent infections.
Our mission is to save more lives in less time during disasters.

(Added on September 7) ARROWS conducted a survey on the damage and needs mainly in the Kyushu area from September 6 to 7, but since there were no specific requests for support, we lifted the standby on September 7. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who showed interest and sent warm messages.
Civic Force is continuing to strengthen our "preparedness" activities for the next disaster.
