The Social Entrepreneur Forum, hosted by Commons Asset Management, was held in Tokyo on October 10.. Takuma Tagami, a Civic Force, served as a lecturer at the concurrently held Children's Trust Seminar.

The Children's Trust Seminar is an interactive workshop where children can learn about social issues and the role of money in a fun way. Ten elementary school students participated on the day. Tagami led the workshop on the theme of work in disaster relief, discussing recent disasters, frontline activities in disaster-stricken areas, and the work and roles involved in disaster relief.

In the workshop, Tagami discussed the situation in the areas affected by the recent Kumamoto earthquake as well as case studies from disaster sites.

In recent years, urban disasters such as heavy rains have been increasing, so the participants discussed how to cope when family members are in different locations. One parent who participated with their child shared, "We have discussed as a family where we would meet after a disaster. However, we had never considered the possibility of something happening when our child is somewhere other than school or home. That will make it difficult for us to return home. This made me realize the need to consider various scenarios when talking about disasters."

Civic Force will continue to contribute to building a disaster-resilient society by providing opportunities to discuss disasters and life after disasters from various perspectives.
