Some evacuees began moving to temporary housing in other prefectures while some decided to return to their homes or go to their relatives.  In Suzu City where 70% of its population was impacted by the disaster, many are still at evacuation centers. Civic Force has been delivering relief items to the victims wherever they are.

Goods donated through SEMA

January 13 saw heavy snow in Suzu and Civic Force delivered much needed clothing (jackets, underwear, socks) to three evacuation centers.

“They are very warm!”

“I was unable to do laundry because of the water outage and I haven’t been able to change my clothes. Thank you so much.”

These items were donated by SEMA (Social Emergency Management Alliance) and partner corporations.
