【Taiwan Earthquake】 Supporting Hualien City through Partner Organization

On April 2, 2024 at 8:58AM local time, a magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck close to Taiwain. Tsunami warnings have been issued in Okinawa and Yaeyama regions in Miyako Island.

Civic Force is gathering information on the situation and preparing for deployment to provide medical care and relief item distributions.

(Update - 4/5)

Civic Force will not be sending staff members to response to the recent earthquake in Taiwan. Our sister organization, Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) will be supporting a local partner organization, Taiwan Development Association for Disaster Medical Teams (TDMAT). TDMAT is conducting medical assistance and resucue operations in Hualien City, the hardest hit area.
