Civic Force Signs Partnership Agreement for Disaster Response with Wakayama Prefecture
The Nankai Trough Megaquake, is anticipated to cause significant damage, including tsunamis, in various locations along the Pacific coast.
Civic Force signed a partnership agreement on March 24 with Wakayama Prefecture and the Wakayama Prefectural Entertainment Business Cooperative to provide various forms of support and cooperation in the event of a large-scale disaster.

The agreement states that in the event of a disaster, the parties will cooperate to provide efficient emergency countermeasures for evacuees who cannot be admitted to evacuation centers. The Cooperative will provide facilities and parking lots at member pachinko parlors, while Civic Force will conduct activities based on the needs of the affected areas, such as procuring, supplying, and transporting emergency supplies.

This is the first time that a prefectural government, an entertainment business cooperative, and an NPO have signed a disaster agreement.
At the signing ceremony, Governor Shuhei Kishimoto said, "We want the people of the prefecture to know that they can feel safe if they rush to a store in the event of a disaster." Civic Force’s Executive Director Kaori Neki remarked, "We want to develop this initiative as a Wakayama model and expand it nationwide." The parties confirmed that they will strengthen their support system by maintaining close communication in the future.
