On August 11, the Japan Meteorological Agency issued a special heavy rain warning for Tamana City, Nagasu Town, Yatsushiro City, Uki City, and Hikawa Town in Kumamoto Prefecture. There is also a risk of damage from heavy rain in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

As of 8AM on August 11, the Disaster Relief Act has been applied to Tamana City, Misato Town, Gyokuto Town, and Nagasu Town in Kumamoto Prefecture, as well as Ube City in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
