【Disaster Drill in Wakayama Prefecture】Recruiting Participants for Disaster Preparedness Event

In March 2025, Civic Force, Wakayama Prefecture, and the Wakayama Prefecture Amusement Industry Cooperative forged a critical partnership to enhance regional disaster resilience. This agreement establishes a clear cooperation framework for disaster response, particularly focusing on the rapid and efficient supply of essential goods to non-shelter evacuees following a crisis.

To ensure the readiness of this new framework, the three partners will conduct a disaster preparedness drill in Kainan City on October 6. This exercise is vital preparation for a major catastrophe, such as the potential Nankai Trough Earthquake.

During the drill, pre-stocked supplies such as emergency toilets provided by Civic Force will be transported from the Kainan City stockpile warehouse. Following this, the facilities and parking lot of LOVE Kainan Store (a pachinko parlor) will be used to set up a distribution point for supplies to non-shelter evacuees.

We invite the community to participate in our preparedness efforts. The drill includes an evacuation experience and a comprehensive mini disaster preparedness seminar. This is a free, no-registration event open to all ages. As a thank you for prioritizing preparedness, the first 150 attendees will receive a gift of essential disaster goods.
