On February 4, organizations and businesses that responded to the August 2021 heavy rain disaster received appreciation awards from Saga Prefecture.

Civic Force’s executive director, Kaori Neki, received the award from Governor Yoshinori Yamaguchi. The Governor thanked Civic Force for its swift assistance including relief item distributions at evacuation centers and free taxi voucher services. 

Civic Force is working with Galapagos through an NPO Partner Project as part of the disaster response. The team also continues to work with aid organizations and local authorities to prepare for future disasters.
