ARROWS Partners with Yahoo! on Mobile App for DRR Alerts
ARROWS (Airborne Rescue and Relief Operations With Search), comprised of Civic Force and partner organizations, began a partnership for Yahoo!'s disaster risk reduction mobile app.
A disaster map was a new feature introduced in March. Users can post and share information about flooded rivers and increasing water levels on the disaster map. The updated app allows aid organizations like ARROWS working in affected areas and the media to post information.
ARROWS will share real-time information received during on-going assistance activities and aims to save more lives in less time.
