On December 6, 2021, Civic Force signed a disaster assistance partnership agreement with the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association (JPBPA). In conjunction with this new partnership, the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association Disaster Assistance Fund (“Players Fund”) was established.

Fueled by climate change, natural disasters are becoming more frequent and severe. The Players Fund will leverage the baseball fan base to advocate for more support.

The Players Fund will work with Civic Force during different phases of disaster assistance - emergency, recovery and reconstruction, and disaster preparedness. The partnership will focus on speedy and effective disaster response activities.

The Players Fund will start its first crowdfunding project on December 6, 2021. Thank you gifts include autographed merchandise from 12 baseball teams and players will present campaign videos. The project hopes to increase interest in disaster preparedness during non-emergency times.
