【Media】 12/5-12/12 Civic Force Participates in Charity Auction and Crowdfunding Project

The “Players’ Funds,” established by the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association (JPBPA), and Civic Force are launching a crowdfunding project in conjunction with the all-player meeting in Osaka starting on December 5, 2022.  On December 12, 2022, a charity auction will also launch.

The Players’ Funds was established in December 2021 by the JPBPA and Civic Force. With frequent and large-scale disasters, the Players’ Funds promotes proactive disaster preparedness, self-reliance, and mutual support. The Funds also aim to provide support through emergency response and reconstruction efforts. 

The charity auction hosted by the Players’ Funds on December 12 is its first auction event. It will be available through January 2023 on Yahoo! Auction. Auction items will be donated by the players and they will also release message videos.

Crowdfunding

  • Goal: JPY1,200,000 (Approximately USD8,880)
  • Duration: December 5, 2022 - January 31, 2023 (56 days)
  • Thank-gifts: T-shirts signed by the players, etc
  • Purpose: For Players’ Funds to support needs assessments, emergency assistance, disaster recovery and reconstruction, and disaster preparedness activities
