On March 28, 2023, Civic Force will be hosting a disaster symposium titled “100 Years Since Great Kanto Earthquake, Reflection on Evacuation Environment” for local governments, private sectors, civic society organizations, and aid workers. The event will be hosted both in-person and online.

Agenda:
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake which left 105,000 people dead or missing.
Collaborations among the central government, local municipalities, NGOs, the private sector, and individuals are vital for resilience in response to frequent and severe disasters.
The symposium aims to provide opportunities to learn about international standards for emergency assistance and discuss how we can improve the evacuation environment.
