Takeo City was struck by floods two years in a row in 2020 and 2021. In recent years, climate change is evident in frequent and large-scale natural disasters. In anticipation of the rainy season in Japan, the event was held to look back on the past disasters and discuss future preparedness. Civic Force displayed evacuation items and hygiene kits along with tips to stock emergency supplies at home. Participants remarked, “it is important to understand how evacuation centers are maintained” and “I saw an emergency portable toilet for the first time”.
